The National Horseshoe Pitchers Association (NHPA) is looking for YOU! We are interested in people who like to pitch horseshoes for some friendly competition. Most of all we are gearing toward youngsters who can learn to master the game while they are young. Just like learning how to play a piano, you never forget how and you only get better and better with practice.

Today’s youngsters will be tomorrow’s leaders. Currently Missouri has approximately 75 active junior pitchers from the ages 6-18 years. The Cadets are children up to nine years old. The Juniors are from ten years to 18 years of age. The cost for a Junior to become a member of the NHPA is only $5.00 per year. This opportunity allows you to pitch at the local, state and national levels. You can practice at the Quail Ridge courts for FREE!

The NHPA holds a World Tournament each year located somewhere in the U.S. Perhaps the most exciting event is the Junior competition. These boys and girls have developed their skills by practice throughout the years and bring their talent to the courts to vie for the Championship trophy. Nothing is more exciting than to watch these kids compete. With the beginning of a handshake, the competition is tough, but friendly at the same time followed with good sportsmanship throughout the tournament. There are lifetime lasting friendships made through these competitions.
